Overview

We are delighted that you have chosen to be a part of Beaconhouse Al Khaleej International Schoolfor your child's education.
Booking seats for returning BAKISstudents or registering new applicantsfor the following academic year,starts in January of every year.
Admission depends on the availability of places (first-come, first-served basis) and the child's age. Please refer tothe age guidelines below for admission as per the new age requirements.

All applicants to Beaconhouse Al Khaleej International School are to follow the same initial process when applying for admission.

Admissions to Beaconhouse Al KhaleejInternational School will be based on an entrance test (CAT4) or an interview depending on the grade level.

If you would like to apply to BAKIS, please visit the school or call our team who will provide you with all the required information to book a school tour and/or entrance exam.

Procedures for new admissions

  • Visit or call to book a school tour.
  • Pre-Kg to grade 3 students will have a face to face interview.
  • Grades 4 to 12 will need to submit their emirates ID or passport to book for a CAT4 entrance exam.
  • After passing the entrance exam you will be notified by phone or e-mail.  The admission team will contact the guardian to complete the rest of the admission formalities.

Admission Documents

To facilitate your child's admission with SPEA, we require that you produce the following documents:

  • Copy of each parent's passport with valid residence visa (for expats).
  • Copy of each parent's Emirates ID (front and back).
  • Copy of child's passport with unified no. (for UAE) & valid residence visa (for expats).
  • Original child's Emirates ID card & copy of it.
  • Copy of child's birth certificate.
  • Copy of family register (for UAE applicants only).
  • Copy of the child's vaccination certificate (If this is the first time your child is attending any school in UAE)& child's medical file from the current school.
  • Three recent colored photograph.
  • Copy of your child's most recent report card or 'To Whom It May Concern' letter from your child's current school.
  • Attested original transfer certificate ( If you are moving from another emirate)
  • Attested original end of year school report.

Transferring from British\Indian curriculum school

  • Students from KG till grade 9 need to submit last report card and attested transfer certificate (If they are shifting from another emirate)
  • Students joining from grade 10 and above will have to apply for the equivalency through MOE website.

Transferring from another country

GCC citizens:

  •  The Transfer Certificate & the report should carry the stamp of the school and be stamped by the Ministry of Education. Students joining from grade 10 and above will have to apply for the equivalency through MOE website.

Non- GCC citizens:

  • The Transfer Certificate & the report should carry the stamp of the school and be stamped by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the UAE's Embassy in that country. The school certificates and other documentation should be in either Arabic or English. If another language is used, it must be legally translated and authenticated as with other documentation.
  • Students joining from grade 10 and above will have to apply for the equivalency through MOE website.


Equivalency Requirements

  • Use the following link https://www.moe.gov.ae/Ar/Pages/home.aspx
  • Create an account with the student EID
  • Go to E-services then equivalency

Required documents:

  • Valid passport For the student & father
  • Valid Emirates ID. For the student & father
  • Valid UAE Visa for non-GCC Nationals. For the student & father

Applicants applying for certificate equivalency from grades 9 to grades 11 are required to provide the below to continue their studies:

  • Attested last two certificate successfully passed by the student.
  • A No Objection Letter (NOC) from a parent confirming the transfer request
  • A copy of the admission letter from the school the student wishes to transfer to.
  • A copy of academic records starting from KG1/FS2 – Registration history
  • A copy of IGCSE subject courses, if applicable, considering the applicant was enrolled in for British Curriculum.
  • Attested School leaving certificate

Please Note:The follow are the parent’s responsibility:

1. Provide all the documents listed above
2. Need to complete and sign the Admission Form

The school will not be held responsible if the Ministry refuses to register a child for any reason, including missing documentation.
