Curriculum Standards

The BAKIS curriculum is aligned with:

Early Literacy & Reading Development

To foster strong foundational reading skills, BAKIS implements an Accelerated Reading Program in Kindergarten and Lower Elementary.
This initiative:
  • Supports leveled reading and differentiated instruction
  • Encourages a love for reading through structured, independent, and guided activities
  • Uses regular assessments to track growth and promote fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary development

English Language Arts

Our English curriculum is interactive and student-centered, blending traditional literacy instruction with technology.

Science

Science instruction is hands-on, inquiry-based, and aligned with NGSS.

Digital Learning Platforms

At BAKIS, we integrate a variety of technology-based learning tools to support personalized instruction and enhance engagement across subjects. Our platforms include:

  • Achieve3000 – Delivers leveled nonfiction reading content to improve comprehension and critical thinking in upper grades.
  • Twin Science – Promotes hands-on STEM learning and innovation through interactive science and engineering challenges.
  • Unifrog – Supports middle and high school students in exploring career paths, university applications, and personal development.
In addition, we are actively implementing Google for Education tools in Grades 5 and 8 to promote collaboration, digital organization, and cloud-based learning. This is a key step in our strategic vision to become a Google School by the year 2030, empowering students with globally relevant digital skills.
